How slim can a backrest be? Is eight millimetres enough? At home in my workroom I tried cutting out different shaped forms and stuck small models together. The principle is simple, what you can do with a piece of paper you can also do with plywood. Today Cortina is a small do-it-yourself kit. What you can’t change is the plywood that wraps around the padded seat but otherwise you can fit it together how you like, a feature appreciated by architects. Altogether there are more than 20 different versions. Sometimes it’s an ordinary chair, sometimes an armchair. It possesses a dualism that few products manage to combine.

Seat height: Gas spring 360°, 44 – 51 cm.
Gas spring 360° incl auto retour 44 – 49 cm. Only in combination with glides.
