You recognize Millibar Lounge by it’s silhouette, in particular by that little projecting lip.
From the very outset Millibar was intended to comprise a family consisting of barstool, lounge armchair and coffee chair. You recognize them by their silhouettes, in particular by that little projecting lip. At first the idea was that they should all have seats in the same reinforced polyester mesh as the barstool but it was soon clear that the lounge model called for a more rigid shell. Industrial felt suited the purpose best: it is more easily shaped than wood and more ecofriendly than the conventional plastic shell. And not least, it feels very contemporary. But the polyester mesh is still there in the background: the shell’s final form follows the shape the mesh acquires when somebody sit’s in it.
